The Origins of the Heart Remembers Ribbon ...

Among the residents at a nursing home in Tennessee where the Foundation sponsors an art/music therapy program was a German émigré named Inga. Inga painted hearts, just hearts. Sometimes she'd add a caption, such as 'I love you, Robyn', for one of her favorite staff members, but invariably she painted hearts in various blends of colors.

"Why hearts?" she was asked.

"Because the heart remembers everything, even when the mind can't."

The idea for this unique logo, featuring a purple ribbon enclosing a heart, was born from one of her paintings. Inga passed away Fall of 2004, but her 'heart' lives on in this ribbon with proceeds going to continue the program.
